Bootcamp - Part 2
January 21, 2008
In Ginza - just outside of the shopping center we were at - the 5 of us and our coach got refueled with gaijin friendly food and some knowledge. Genki, our esteemed leader, had gone through an intense bootcamp process himself meeting up with everyone from The Osaka Crew - Japan’s only English-speaking PUA company- to Sebastaian from The Approach and even Zan himself!
Genki’s style is all “normal guy game,” as he calls it, less analytical Mystery Method / stacking routines based work and more fun, indirect situational openers. We discussed what it takes to be attractive - and how easy it can come - what it takes to open, and what good eye contact / kino is like. Unlike most pickup discussion I’ve had, this one was engaging and incredibly useful - there was no need to try to be one thing over another - it all was already there and it only took these three things to get everything to work:
“I have value, we can work together, and we both want a part of it.”
or
Attraction = Value + Attainability + Compliance
Right after that, I felt like I had what it takes. There was much less to think about, and even less to worry about. Since I had my value in place, really what I needed to work on was becoming more attainable and gaining compliance from the girl - two simple pieces I didn’t even consider with other methods!
So we go to a bar in Ginza called the “300 Yen Bar” - it’s a small fun place, filled with mostly サラリマン and also a good amount of cute j-girls. After those other approaches, I felt totally warmed up and ready for anything and Genki pushed me into most of my sets. The first, opened with a simple かんぱい!and a smile and we were in!
That’s it. Genki pushed me to talk to two cute girls, both I was slightly stiff talking to, but was fun nonetheless. We chatted, and when I got bored I walked away. I winged some of the other guys on other sets, one that went nowhere (we both were trying “too hard” to get their attention) and the other that went quickly. I met Mayumi - a cute 26 or so Japanese girl who barely spoke a word of English. In spite of all this, we talked for about an hour about where we’re from, flirted in Japenglish, and I got a #close! First ever!
After, I was on such a high, that the next set, well…more on that next post.

I was thinking about you the other day, and I must say, I came up with some money Japanese day game openers.
Walk up to a girl, take your hands and put your wrists on top of each other and turn your hands so you’re looking at your fingers facing out. Now put your hands near your chest, and then push them out. Say “haduken!” and bam, a foolproof opener on the J-Girls.
Hope you’re having a blast buddy!
